Your primary job is to ensure the veterans’ safety and comfort while
monitoring them for any signs of physical or emotional distress.

Guardians are responsible for the safety of their Veterans.
Guardians should never be away from their Veterans
Veterans should be within reach at all times!
Be alert to any unattended Veteran and escort him back to his assigned Guardian

Midway Airport

KEY EVENTS

4:00 am Arrival
Drop Veteran off at ARRIVALS
Park in Daily Parking Level 2, 4 or 5
Go to Southwest Airlines Baggage Claim #1
Find your Veteran and process though Check In
4:45am Guardian Meeting Baggage Claim 2
Locate your Veterans
ID & Boarding Pass
Sit in isle seat

Flight Times

6:45am Depart Midway

9:20am Arrival Dulles

6:50pm Depart Dulles

7:15pm Arrive Midway

Photos

  • Document your veteran’s day with photos
  • Take a minimum of 5 pictures of your veteran at their memorial with a digital camera, not a phone
  • If you do not have a camera find someone who does. It’s your responsibility to make sure your veteran is represented in the year book!  
  • Smiling Faces make great photos. Pensive profiles also work!
