The Honor Flight Chicago family mourns the loss of John Tolan, a treasured friend and generous donor whose gifts over our entire history funded days of honor for more than 1,300 of our senior war heroes. John’s incredible support changed lives. Without John, Honor Flight Chicago would not be what it is today.
To John’s friends and family, we extend our most sincere and heartfelt thoughts and prayers. His love of our nation’s veterans and heroes paled only in comparison to his love for his family, especially his daughters Bridget and Lucie. Last July, we were honored to include Bridget as a guardian on our 86th honor flight:
